Magdalene Catholic College is a vibrant Catholic community, committed to the formation of the whole person.
Welcome to the Magdalene Catholic College website. We are delighted by your interest in our vibrant, faith-centered, and engaging educational environment. Whether you are a current family or exploring options for your child's future, we hope this website provides a clear insight into our school's identity, values, and the strong reputation we have built across the broader region.
Founded by the Diocese of Wollongong in 1999 to support the growing Macarthur region, Magdalene has established a legacy of academic, sporting, artistic, and social justice excellence over the past 27 years. We believe active participation in these co-curricular pursuits is vital to nurturing well-rounded individuals.
Our motto, “Quia Dominum Vidi” (“Because I have seen the Lord”), honors Mary Magdalene as the first witness to the resurrection and calls our entire community to live out Christ’s values. This mission is further strengthened through close partnerships with St Paul’s Parish in Camden, alongside our local feeder schools: St Paul’s Camden, St Clare’s Narellan Vale, and St Anthony’s Picton.
At the heart of our mission is a commitment to the whole student. We champion personal growth and high standards across academic performance, conduct, and presentation—qualities that regularly draw prospective families to our school. We deeply value the collaborative relationships we share with parents in maintaining these expectations.
Our school community is anchored by four key Core Values:
-
Discipleship and Service: Following Mary Magdalene's example, students are encouraged to act with Christ-like service through meaningful outreach with partners like Caritas Australia, the St Vincent de Paul Society, and Carrington Aged Care.
-
Love of Learning: Supported by modern facilities and dedicated educators, our students develop a lifelong passion for knowledge, leaving Magdalene well-prepared for tertiary and career pathways.
-
Personal Best: We set high expectations and celebrate every form of achievement, challenging students to become the best version of themselves for life beyond school.
-
Quality Relationships: Strong connections between students, teachers, and parents foster a supportive environment that enhances both student wellbeing and learning outcomes.
I invite you to experience our community firsthand by attending one of our events throughout the year. Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact our front office via phone or email.
Warm regards,
David Cloran
