Counselling
CatholicCare's School, Student and Family Program (SSFP) school counsellors promote the well-being and development of students and improve connectedness with families and the school community. Support may involve assessing and meeting the needs of students through counselling in areas including self-esteem and confidence, family, peer and teacher relationships, grief and loss, resilience, anxiety and depression, and body image concerns. CatholicCare's School Counsellors can also provide consultation and/or education, and resources and referrals to staff and families. Counsellors work to support the school in promoting wellbeing and fostering a positive learning environment.
Our counsellors provide a professional and confidential service to students and families in response to their particular needs. Referrals to Magdalene Catholic Collage counsellors, Sarah White and Laura Subotic, can be made through the Pastoral Care Coordinator or your child's Year Coordinator.
Wellbeing
From time to time, students and their families need extra support to get through difficult times or to better manage their mental health. We are fortunate that, in our wider community, there are so many agencies and organisations that work to keep kids and families healthy. The services listed below are not associated with the school, except for CatholicCare who provide our school counsellors.
