St George Dance Eisteddfod

On Tuesday 6th August, the Magdalene Dance Troupe and Dance Elective Class participated in the St. George Dance Eisteddfod, delivering an array of performances across various dance styles. In what was a highly competitive day, the students did not place in their respective items but represented the College beautifully and with great enthusiasm.

The Dance Troupe's jazz routine achieved 90/100 and was a delightful blend of fun and sophistication, captivating the audience with its witty choreography. Their hip hop performance achieved 94/100 and was an upbeat and dynamic number, bursting with energy and showcasing their incredible athleticism and precision. The lyrical piece achieved 90/100 and was an emotive and moving expression of emotion, leaving a lasting impression.

The Dance Elective Class performed a contemporary piece which achieved 89/100 was a strong and powerful piece, demonstrating the dancers' strength, technique, and artistic interpretation.

Despite the fierce competition, everyone had a fantastic day out, celebrating their love for dance and supporting one another. The students' dedication and talent shone through in each performance, making the day a memorable experience for all involved. We received some outstanding feedback from the adjudicator and we now look forward to our next performance at Inspire Arts Challenge in week 10, Monday 23rd September at Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre.
