ISSDC 2025! 

Ten remarkable Magdalene students have just returned from representing Australia at the International Space Settlement Design Competition at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida!

While the competition win went to another amazing company (which included our Aussie teammates from Nations - congrats James Ruse!), our students absolutely shone – leading with empathy, communication, and collaboration in one of the world’s most prestigious STEM events. They helped design a futuristic settlement on Venus that extracted oxygen and nitrogen from the atmosphere under the vision “We Breathe, We Inspire.” which was imagined and authored by Magdalene students.

From 5am SpaceX launches to late-night design sessions, and unforgettable moments at Universal Studios – this was truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. They forged friendships with students from the USA, UK, India, China, and South America, and did our College proud on the global stage.
