Youth Ministry Leaders

Our team of Youth Ministry Leaders from Year 10, departed Sydney for the Australian Catholic Youth Festival which was held in Melbourne. This gathering of over 6000 young Australians was highlighted by a video message from Pope Leo who challenged our student pilgrims to “become who God made you to be and you will set the world on fire”. He spoke about the difficulties facing young people, conflicting societal values and the role of technology in our lives. He then concluded by calling on young people to draw inspiration from the lives of saints such as St Catherine of Sienna and St Carlo Acutis, asking them to return home ready to “build up the Kingdom of God in your local communities”.
